Sticky Sweet

Hypothetical

Say someone (oh we'll call them ME), was thinking about taking a 4-day vacation sometime in the near future, for lack of a better time, let's say the week before Halloween, where semi-locally would any of you guys suggest that I...er...they go?

Vacation Criteria:
-4/5 hour drive
-Must not be located in the state of West Virginia
-No gigantic cities. In fact the smaller the better (assuming I'll be alone when I go)

I'm not sure which areas aren't covered in large cities there, but I hear the Shanendoah Valley in Virginia is supposed to be nice.

Thad: That's a good idea.:) I'm not sure if I could go to a game all by myself but I may have to look into it. It just can't be a home game because that's where James and Michelle live. Defeats my being alone purpose.

Andrew:Your idea is good as well. I'll have to look that one up. I had come up with Berea (for it's smallness) and Some place in Ohio's Amish country whose name elludes me right now. Or even somewhere in Tennesse....I've never been.

I started watching Silent Hill earlier tonight. If you want to ignore your "Can't be in WV" part, I beleive the movie said it was there..and it looks ike a small town....:D

Hmm, I think you should try Nashville. I don't know how far it is for you to drive, but I've heard really great things about it.

On an unrelated topic, I was searching for a gift for my brother on amazon, typed in "fishing" as the topic, and THIS came up http://www.amazon.com/Family-Music-Trout-Fishing-America/dp/B00000655S/sr=8-19/qid=1157638104/ref=sr_1_19/002-8560531-4455236?ie=UTF8&s=music

Aren't those the guys that wanted to adapt one of your songs into a song on their album or something?

HB: I don't want WV cause I spend enough time here as it is (hate it). Hope you liked your movie though :) I forgot to ask you how it was before. I'm only going if you come with me and bring the big Marshmallow guy from the Ghost Busters.

Mandy: If I do the Tennesse thing, I figured either Nashville or Gatlenberg (I'm positive I spelled it wrong) But I know that's about 5 hours. It's supposed to be really pretty down there.

Those aren't the guys doing the poem-turned-song thing, but I can see how you thought that. Their name is the Preoccupied Pipers and their cd is the Trout Supershow. The only place I know to get it is here: http://www.notlame.com/CDPREOCCUPIEDPIPERS1.html

I've never heard of those other guys, but they look pretty funny.

Gatlinburg is nice, but Nashville is pretty big, and you had said you wanted smaller places. If you're thinking about Ohio Amish country, I recommend Berlin. It's a really nice little town with lots of antiques and horses and buggies.

You can't go any smaller than good ole Paintsville. You know it's true.

Andrew: Nashville is too big...I just really want to go there, but I'm pretty much betting on making that a two-person trip. Berlin is EXACTLY the place I had thought about. I saw a show on PBS about it and thought it looked great. Thanks!

Tessa: You're right. You just want me to come home. :P
